Easter 2009

Here are a few Easter photos from this year..we didn't get any Easter morning because Tom was working and it was pouring down rain, but here are a few from the Easter egg hunt the day before. Hayden wasn't as scared of the Easter bunny this year (although he almost punched the Wal-mart Easter bunny in the head because he startled him). There is also a photo of him giving sweet big brother love to baby Elijah. He can be so sweet when he wants to be!

My wonderful Girls' Night Out/Baby Shower

My sweet friends Brooke and Lisa threw me this awesome baby shower at an Italian Restaurant here in Temple. It was SO much fun to get out and have some girl time, not to mention open some beautiful hand made gifts from them. There are some crafty ladies here, I only wish I could sew/be creative like them. I got some of the sweetest little gifts, including a handmade taggie and Razorback burp cloths (we have a little Arkansas group that gets together, thanks, Marla!!)

We have been so blessed to have made such wonderful friends here, and it makes me so sad to know we all will eventually be going our seperate ways. I am just thankful for the fun times we are having on this little residency adventure!

Go Away, Mom....

I walked into Hayden's room one day (when he is quiet for more than a few seconds, I get a little concerned). Here is a photo of what I found, and here is what he said..

"Go away, Mom, I'm trying to read and you're bothering me!"

Summertime Fun

Hayden is loving his new "Shamu" pool (he is obsessed with Shamu ever since our visit to Sea World). He loves to run and slide head first down the slide. I can't wait for the new water park here in Temple to open, he is going to never want to leave!

More Gymnastics Fun

One of the things I love about Temple is that there is so much here for Hayden to do. Playgrounds, splash parks, and several gyms that offer Open gym time. This has become one of his favorite things to do. It makes it especially fun when his friends are there too. We are looking into gymnastics classes for the summer, I think he is going to love that! Here are a few photos of Hayden at the gym, having fun!

Chuck E Cheese

During Tom's week off in March, we took Hayden to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. Hayden loved it! He didn't know what to do first. It was pretty hilarious when he ran up the skee ball lane and chunked the ball straight into the hole. I think Daddy enjoyed just as much as Hayden. The funny thing was, he HATED the giant animatronic Chuck. But really, the thing is creepy.

Hayden's Birthday Celebrations

Even though I am two months behind on posts (been more than a little busy lately), I am trying to catch up. Here are some photos of Hayden's birthday celebrations. Yes, that is plural because, by the time it was over, he had blown candles out twice and had many gift opening sessions. What a blessed little boy he is!

He ended it all with a really awesome gymnastics party, which he LOVED! It was so fun to watch all the little boys (and Lexi and Allyson) play. He blew out the candles on his Wow Wow Wubbzy cake (made by a very talented lady who can apparently copy anything you give her onto a cake), and opened some fun gifts from his friends. It was also nice to have lots of family come and celebrate with us. Grandma, Grandpa, Gigi, Daddy's Grandma and Uncle Bob and Aunt Epi all came to the party.
