Due to the fact that Tom is so busy and it NEVER rains here (except when a hurricane/tropical storm passes through), Hayden and I have taken up container gardening. He loves to help me water them and he is learning their names. You should hear him say evolvolus (the pretty pink one)! We talk about how God made flowers, and how the little tiny seeds grow up to be big, beautiful flowers. Every once in a while, the two year old in him takes over, and he wants to pull them out. He loves handing them to me and saying "It's for you, Mama"... I could never get tired of that!
The big black thing on the left is "Mama Turtle". It had to come with us from the house in Little Rock. Hayden loves her and gets so upset if she gets wet when we water. The blue pot has Hayden's sunflowers in it (they are called teddy bear sunflowers-they will look like big yellow poofballs). I am praying they grow bigger so he can see how amazing it is to plant a seed that grows into a flower. It is still amazing to me!
